Eating this creamy vegan tropical smoothie bowl is like taking a summer vacation:) It is light and refreshing, extra creamy and extra delicious. Moreover, this smoothie bowl is a perfect healthy alternative to ice cream. And the best thing, not only it tastes like a dessert, but also you can eat this dessert for breakfast. Win-win situation.
A creamy vegan tropical smoothie that doesn’t use bananas in case if you don’t like them
I get asked a lot about thick and creamy smoothie bowls with no bananas on my Instagram. And I get that most smoothies on the internet are very banana heavy. Especially when it comes to nicecream( more about this word you can read in this blog post). If you want a smoothie bowl that is lower in carbs and sugars and tastes great, this recipe is for you! By the way, I don’t have anything against fruit sugars, and I think that they are necessary to give us lots of energy. But it’s always good to have an alternative;)
Smoothie bowls are dessert for breakfast that takes 5 minutes to make
Unquestionably, nicecreams are many people favourite easy healthy dessert. There are so my upsides about it! Firstly, these creamy smoothie bowls take 5 minutes to make or even less! Secondly, smoothies are packed with goodness. You can add your favourite superfoods or even sneak some veggies:) As soon as I have chosen the base correctly, no one will ever know! And thirdly, they are so easy to customise to your liking. You can add the fruits, nuts, seeds, yoghurt or milk that you have on hand, and it will be delicious. Above all, these nicecream smoothie bowls taste like a creamy vegan soft serve! But it is so much healthier for you.
Creamy alternative to frozen bananas
The reason many smoothie bowls are using bananas as their base is that bananas don’t crystallise when frozen, unlike most of the other fruits. But an easy alternative to bananas that are significantly lower in sugars can be avocado. It also contains whopping amounts of Vitamin E and Vitamin B6 for glowing skin and healthy hair. Avocado has a very mild flavour, so you won’t taste it, but it will bring this smoothie bowl to another level of creaminess.
An easy hack how to save money on your produce
As well I want to share my easy hack on how to save yourself some time and money. When I go to the farmers market towards the end of the day, they usually have great deals. Obviously, all the fruits and veggies have to be eaten quite rapidly before they go bad. Especially the timeline is tight when it comes to avocados
So sometimes,s I was able to get a full box of ripe avocados for a pound! Obviously, I leave some of them for my main meals and freeze extras for smoothie bowls or guacamole! It works out so cheap, and avocados can be pricey in the supermarket:)
All the delicious flavours in this creamy vegan tropical smoothie
If you are worried that your smoothie bowl will taste like guacamole because of the avocados. Worry not:) I used delicious tropical fruits that have a strong flavour, and they work so well together. Without a doubt, they create a delicious creamy tropical smoothie bowl that tastes like vacation. In case if you don’t have some of the fruits, feel free to use more of one ingredient and less or none of the other! Smoothie bowls are such a fun, easy vegan breakfast, and they will always stay on top of my favourites list! What is your favourite at the moment?
