    I love mangoes and I have a weakness for an ice cream. Especially pistachio ice cream. That only means that having nicecream is a necessity for me at least a couple of times a week. I could eat it every day but I’m afraid as a weather got colder there is not gonna be enough blankets in my house to keep me warm:) 

    Lots of people use bananas to make healthy ice cream that is suitable for breakfast and although this option is great I much prefer mango as a replacement because it makes it so smooth and has a perfect amount of tanginess to counteract that sweetness. Of course the ripe the mango the better and I’m adding protein powder here which is optional but I find that it gives it a better body and keeps me fuller for longer as well as pistachio while it is great for overall flavour it’s important as well to add some healthy fat so your blood sugar will stay stable.

   Spinach here boosts the nutrition (and you can’t taste it) and mint and lime makes it so refreshing (and alkalising)!  I really recommend this combo!

Green mango smoothie

Ingredients
  

  • 200 grams frozen mango
  • 100 grams fresh spinach
  • juice and zest of 1 lime
  • 1 scoop protein powder
  • 1 tbsp pistachio butter coconut will also work
  • 1 tsp wheatgrass powder optional

Instructions
 

  • Blend everything untill smooth and serve straight away
