Pasta Chips are the newest TikTok trend. They are so simple to make and you so moreish. You can have a delicious crispy savoury snack in a matter of minutes. Moreover, my version is vegan, gluten-free and high in plant protein.
These vegan and gluten-free pasta chips always come out so crunchy. And they are so flavourful. Personally, I love using combination of nutritional yeast and tahini because it gives them that cheesy taste. Together with garlic and mixed herbs it works so well.
These cheesy vegan pasta chips are perfect for dipping or just snacking on their own. I wanted to make them gluten-free and higher in plant protein therefore I used chickpea pasta. On the other hand, lentil pasta or brown rice pasta would work just as well. To make it high protein vegan snack I decided to dip them in the creamy hummus and it was just perfect.
To make Vegan and gluten-free pasta chips this is what you need. Firstly, cook your pasta of choice al dante. Secondly, prepare the dressing which will coat the chips. Thirdly, drain the ready pasta and toss in prepared dressing. Lastly, spread the chips in the single layer on the baking tray. It is important to try to spread them as much as you can so they aren’t touching. When you do it this way you will get the crunchiest best pasta chips.
Should be noted, that if you don’t have an air fryer you can use the oven. I would recommend setting your oven temperature to 200 degrees celsius and keeping a close eye on them after 15 minutes. They should be nice and golden when they are ready.
